Tea, Thoughts And A Review

Well what I can say about tea. Precisely- If you are cold, tea will warm you.  If you are hot, it will cool you.  If you are depressed, it will cheer you.  If you are excited, it will calm you.  Talking about tea, did you know that Tea bags were invented in America in the early 1800s, and were initially used to hold samples of teas brought from India? Today, 96% of all cups of tea served around the world are made using teabags.

Some people like simple tea, some like with milk, and some enjoy it cold; but Tea to the English is like a picnic indoors. Yes trust me it is; By the middle of the 18th Century tea had replaced ale and gin as the drink of the masses and had become Britain's most popular beverage. I do not think that there is even a single British home that does not enjoy tea.

I came across some real amazing flavours of teas some days back from Twining. If you love tea and are keen on trying some new and unique tastes then trust me Twinings has it all. Twinings teas are naturally caffine free and are loaded with goodness of natural ingredients. They have remarkable assortment of tea. Look for yourself their white teas, herbal teas, black teas, organic teas. If like me you get confused which one to buy then look for the wonderful gift sets which contains the entire spectrum of their tea bags with classy packing.

Well, I tired winter spice from Twining some days back and also opted to make Ice tea with it. You all know how pleased I was with its taste. Later I tasted two more flavours. Blackcurrant -Vanilla and Red Berries.

Blackcurrant and vanilla-an unique combination of two flavours. Vanilla gives simple subtle flavour while zingy blackcurrant lifts up the punch. Natural vanilla with hint of blackcurrant brings out sweet and soothing aroma. The packet says to brew for 3 minutes, for me, the more I brew the better it was, I love strong tea may be that’s why. Take a sip, breathe in the scent and calm your mind and body. Totally a mood booster for chilly days!

Blackcurrant And Vanilla

Red Berries is yet another kind of tea that I haven’t seen or heard in native India. It has beautiful packaging as well; I love the red colour box with golden borders and mixed berries photos on it. You only have to taste it to believe what I say about it. Mixture of cranberries, raspberries and strawberries gives perfect infusion of fruity taste and odour. Cranberries add tanginess, raspberries gives mild sweetness while strawberries totally balance the taste and give fruity touch to it. Berrylicious!!

Red Berries

Will like to end on a note-"You can't buy happiness, but you can buy tea and that's kind of the same thing"

Disclaimer: I was not paid or told to write positive review. The post is based on my experience and is unbiasedWith thanks to Twinings for the review samples.

  4. Glasses and red colour, looks like wine.I was searching for the review and landed up here. I do not like reviews where people write about its ingridents, price or how to use it (I can see that on packet right?) I wanted to know about taste and you said it all. Keep up the good work. I will buy little happiness for myself today
